Fiscal Consolidation Of Anhui Province During Early Nanjiang Government

Financial problems of modern Chinese economic history ws a very importantissue, which may be the most intractable problem to previous Chinese governmentsduring the end of 19th century and early 20th century. It impacted upon modernhistory of China's socio-economic around the equator. Specific to Anhui, the samefinancial difficulties beseted Anhui local governments at all levels, a shortfall and thehuge deficit in this period of the financial situation. To reverse the increasinglyserious financial and economic crisis, the local government in Anhui took certainmeasures to change the deficit dilemma and attempted to revive the economy.This paper attempts to Conduct preliminary studies relating to the fiscalconsolidation and fiscal policy of Anhui from the socio-economic background of theevolution of the financial system, especially to straighten out the details during earlyNanjing government. In clarifying the fundamental reform of the fiscal period on thebasis of facts, we want to reveal its impact to economic, political and social aspects.Although there was no fundamental change from the financial and economiccrisis, fiscal consolidation Anbui provincial government made during early Nanjinggovernment achieved a certain degree of success, to some extent improved fiscalrevenue and economic development. Therefore, we should have an objective and fairassessment about it.
