The Problems Of Informatization About TPL Enterprises

With the development of economy, e-commerce has played an importantrole in business. However, lagging logistics has become an obstacle tothe development of e-commerce. This paper points out that rapiddevelopment of the Third Party Logistics (TPL) will help accelerate thewhole development of logistics and the informatization of TPL enterprisesis a crucial element for the success of TPL.Based on the example of intai Logistics, this paper introduces howAntai Logistics makes use of IT to accomplish tobacco distribution, andputs forward some viewpoints about the informatization of intai Logistics.Firstly, the background of the study is presented. Secondly, it introducesthe origin, evolution, development and categories of logistics andinformatization, and documents about intai Logistics is reviewed. Thirdly,the informatization of intai Logistics including the construction oflogistics information system and the system's main function and modulesis studied. Fourth, three problems emerging in the informatization ofAntai Logistics——the process optimization, the system integration andthe planning is discussed. In order to solve these three problems, threemethods including reengineering process, integrating information systemsand setting up CIO are brought forward; The concept of CIO in particularis applied to the construction of the informatization. In the processoptimization, the allocation/transaction process of cigarette isdiscussed. For system integration, the standardization method and EAI(Enterprise Application Integration) are applied. And it concludes thatthe strategic planning and implementation of the Antai Logisticsinformatization should be led by its CIO.
