| With the improvement of logistics modernization, logistics informatization, network, intelligence, standardization, and socialization have become the main features of modern logistics, which has raised the demands including third-party logistics companies'dependence on informatization, improvement of the logistics work efficiency, networks and intelligence promotion of the logistics system within the whole society. In China, with the development of information technology, disadvantages have severely been exposed that traditional logistics management cannot meet the various needs of individual customers and cannot adjust the diverse changes of information environment. Another demand has therefore been made on establishment of modern logistics information system by third-party logistics enterprises.Logistics information system controls and manages its logistics activity through collection, processing, handling, storage and delivery of all information related to logistics. It also provides enterprises information analysis and decision support of man-machine symbiosis. It holds a number of characteristics such as real-time, network, systematic, large-scale, specialization, integration, intelligence etc. For third-party logistics enterprises, logistics information system is not only a significant reference on management and decision by managers, but also an important condition for the employees to improve the efficiency and to ensure the working accuracy and instantaneity. It can bring cost savings and profit improvement for third-party logistics enterprises.The major purpose of this thesis is to explore the improvement of the level of informatization, , and thus to provide significant reference on improvement of information system to other logistics enterprises in China, with the model of Changchun Highway Main Hub Ltd, co. (state-owned enterprise), with the starting point of the improvement and evaluation of its logistics information system. During the research, with the starting point of the analysis of the logistics information system and information-based performance evaluation, to make sure the research meets the management features of Changchun Highway Main Hub Ltd, co., the study mainly focuses on the program design, management of research material, and system development. At the same time through comprehensive understanding of the enterprise's operating conditions and development planning, logistics information system analysis and information-based performance evaluation methods which are presented in this thesis show the guiding significance of management informatization of Changchun Highway Main Hub Ltd, co.Based on Changchun Highway Main Hub Ltd, co., this paper describes construction of logistics management information system, the background and objectives of performance evaluation, and the recent international research of logistics information system. After that the study identified the main content and technical route.After a brief introduction of the thesis content, analysis of relevant theory of logistics information system and performance evaluation is made. Firstly the research group analyzed the elements of third-party logistics information, composition and characteristics, followed by the analysis of information on the logistics function and the role of performance evaluation.The third, fourth and fifth chapters are the core chapters. After the analysis of relevant theories, the analysis and design of logistics system analysis are made based on model company—Yang Jia Dian Logistics Centre. The research starts with the analysis of the overview of Yang Jia Dian Logistics Centers. Then the situation before its application of research results was described. Thirdly the operating system of Yang Jia Dian Logistics Centre is analyzed to determine the goals of system construction. Afterwards the paper identifies the information system function design and main modules of Yang Jia Dian Logistics Centre.The fourth chapter focuses on the implement the functions of the main modules of the logistics information system. Detailed design is performed based on two main modules - storage module and vehicle routing optimization module- from the model company. Moreover the research group presents the analysis on the implementation of a series of operations related to the modules.Finally, according to the establishment of information system of Yang Jia Dian Logistics Centre, the thesis introduces the AHP-based (AHP) evaluation model. Through the application of AHP evaluation model, the group makes an comparison between the previous and developed information system of Yang Jia Dian Logistics Centre. The comprehensive evaluation on logistics information system is thus established by the comparison.The main research findings are reflected in the following aspects:1. Based on model company-Changchun Highway Main Hub Ltd, co., detailed study and evaluation of the logistics information system construction are conducted through the low level of the third party logistics information management system. For enterprises to improve management, the establishment and evaluation of information systems have a direct impact on the enhancement of efficiency.2. Detailed information system analysis on typical links in logistics centers in China - storage module and the vehicle route optimization module has a direct reference value to the implementation of similar module in the construction of the logistics management information system of the same type of logistics centers.3. An objective evaluation of the construction of the logistics information system is made, which therefore has a long-term reference value for other types of logistics centers.The thesis focuses on the construction and evaluation of the information system of a typical representative logistics enterprise. Therefore, the research result as a reference is significantly valuable for both the model enterprises and the similar enterprises. The research result also promotes the innovation of third-party logistics business. Meanwhile, as this study is relatively small, up to a point, it is considered an attempt with a lot of study and work for further exploration. |
