Research On The Competitiveness Of China's Tuna Industry

How will the tuna industry develop continuously and stably, and enhance the international competitiveness in an all-round way, with expediting the management of source and implement of the 200 sea mile exclusive zone ? This is a significant issue for China's tuna industry to cope with.This paper aims at studying how to enhance the competitiveness of China's tuna industry.The paper initially analyzes the status of the competitiveness in China's tuna industry. It thinks that the competitiveness of China's tuna industry is not strong compared with the developed countries of Japan, Taiwan. But recently China's tuna industry developed rapidly, the competitiveness in industry appears to be strong year by year.Then the paper analyzes the advantage and disadvantage of competitiveness in China's tuna industry. The advantage includes good demanding environment, perfect industrial system, the prominent advantage of district and comparison, the supported industry policy and so on. At the same time, there exsist irrationality of industrial structure, lowness of economic benefit. Moreover, other disadvantage can also be found, such as the bargaining of supplying party has improved continuously.This paper also analyzes what is the main factor which does affect the competitiveness in China's tuna industry. Because of the lack of fund, the single market and the slow technology, so the competitiveness in China's tuna industry is weak. Apart from this, what career man isn't professional and the supply of source is confined result in the weak competitiveness.Finally, based on the analysis of the above issues, this paper puts forward the advice of enhancing the competitiveness in China's tuna industry. Firstly, adjusting and optimizing the industrial structure, secondly constructing the market system and innovating technology. Thirdly it implements the reasonable industrial policy, becomes the comparative strengths into competitive strengths, emphasizing the development of labor resources. Lastly, we shall participate in actively the international compete, and reinforce the regional fisheries cooperation.
