With the development and improvement of Chinese Market Economy system, the mobility of employees in enterprises is increasing. Though the employee turnover is drawing more and more attention, there are few quantitative studies on this subject in current domestic literatures. Based on the Price(2000)'s employee turnover model and the achievements of ZhangMian's research, this dissertation investigates determinant factors which affect the staffs' turnover intention in Chinese manufacturing enterprises, and then it develops a casual model of turnover intention, at length it conducts an empirical study on staffs in manufacturing enterprises. The whole study is composed of two phases: the phase of investigation and information collection, and the phase of data analysis and model development. The first phase lasts about half a year, we interviewed some manufacturing enterprises in Hefei Economic Technological Development Zone, and based on the data collected by a questionnaire survey, we attainted a sample contenting about 1,000 records.During the second phase, we read relevant literatures for the sake of appropriate methods of data analysis and model building. Then we choose SPSS to process data. Processing steps, outcomes and corresponding analysis of the outcomes compose chapters 3 and 4 of this dissertation. In the chapter 3, we use methods such as Analysis of Variance, Analysis of Cross, Ordinary Least Square and so on to research four kinds of variables' influence on three kinds of employees, which are workers, technologist and managers. The four kinds of variables are environmental variables, structural variables, individual variables and demographic variables. And an analysis of investigation's outcomes is established in this chapter. In chapter 4, we described particularly how to use Path Analysis to carry out the model.According to our discoveries, we put forward some suggestions in turnover management and employee retention at the end of this dissertation.
