The family business is a product of the Commodity Economy, after entering the market economy, it gained the full development of the vast space and necessary conditions. Opening histories of the development of the world's leading enterprises, almost all of them are histories of the development of the family businesses, family businesses played an important role in the construction and development of the capitalist economic system, they are very common in the modern market economy developed countries.Family business also has a long history of development in China, particularly since the beginning of the reform and opening up, with the establishment of the socialist market economic system and the continuous improvement of people's ideological transformation, The sudden emergence of private economics has led the family business to the rapid development in China. The family business has become a new growth point in China's national economic development, and played an important role in national economic development.On family business issues in China, many scholars have made their researches of the presence necessity of the family business from the cultural heritage, economic system social dimension and so on. Because the cultural heritage, the actual conditions especially the process of the urbanization, domestic and external environmental constraints of the development of the enterprises and the current condition of the family businesses, the family businesses in China will exist for a long time.But after careful analysis of the rise and fall of many family businesses process, we will discover a rather pessimistic conclusions, a number of enterprises can neither develop to large companies successfully nor escape from short-lived fate. After a second generation, they have been eliminated by the community. According to the survey data, China family businesses generally have short-lived lives, the average life is only about 10 years. Many enterprises'peak periods are also their bankruptcy time. Therefore, how the family businesses embark on the path of sustainable development after their founding, and avoid the decline after their short-term prosperity, it is a question for family business to seriously consider and resolve.Discussion on the family business's success and failing, the family culture's effects on the family business is a breakthrough. To survive in the economic development for the family businesses, the positive effects to the family business and management brought from the family culture play a central role. The high clarity of Property border; direct dynamic incentive mechanism; the coherence of Operational concepts and objectives policy; strong cohesion of enterprises'members; efficiency leadings, low cost management; small-scale, quick shift. Such management advantages are beneficial to the rapid growth of the enterprise at a certain stage, particularly the founding period.But as the growing of the business and the entire socio-economic development, the negative impacts of the Family Culture on the family enterprises have been exposed: the autocratic management of the entrepreneurs; family members'spreading and complicated relationships; lay particular stress on relationships but ignore capacities, enterprises make no progress; self-enclosed, exclude all power of economic, information and social culture outside and so on. It is also the inferior management from the negative impacts seriously restricts the sustainable development of the enterprises. Adapt to the general trend of world economic development, China's family businesses should try their best on ownership and management, leadership, the mechanisms of personnel training and introduction, institutionalized enterprise spirits, combine the essence of Chinese traditional family culture with the advantages of the modern enterprise system, achieve the transition of blood aptitude to Societies, grades to personality equal, conventional to legality, traditional technology-typed skills to modern, aptitude equivalent to those transactions, closed aptitudes to open, stability to innovation, then can gain significant and steady development in the face of fierce competition in the global unified market, and contribute their efforts in the overall development of China's national economy.
