Study On Competitive Advantage Of Foreign Trade Of Xinjiang

The Value of Xinjiang's Foreign Merchandise Trade ranked as number 1 in the Northwest 5 provinces and autonomous regions. However, the increase of foreign trade didn't boost the development of Xinjiang's local economy .the main reason is that Xinjiang's foreign trade is"Passage"Foreign Trade which means the Composition of Xinjiang's foreign merchandise trade is different form local industries structure. At preset, the main reason for the rapid development of Xinjiang's foreign trade is the regional advantage. The most important trading form is frontier trade. The directions of foreign trade are mostly geographically surrounded by its neighboring countries.The strategy for the development of Xinjiang's foreign trade should be revised in order to reinforce the function of Xinjiang's foreign trade to its economy. The increase of foreign trade value is not the only criterion to evaluate the function of foreign trade. The more development of corresponding industries is expected to expand. And then one integral system of commodities structure with local industries can be established. Through the base of the competitive advantage of Xinjiang's foreign trade, enhancement of competition of foreign trading companies, and support by the government's policy, Xinjiang's foreign trade can substantially benefit Xinjiang's local economy.
