It is the essential road of city development for branding city image. City image is the intangible assets of a city. It is also an indispensable factor for city comprehensive competition. City image can make a type of image or cultural nature connect with this city, while people cognate and understand a city. A type of image or will can be imposed to every corners in the city and reaches coexistence to this city. The research of shaping city image or information diffusion has emerged silently and deliberately in recent 10 years. Until 2005 the texts about the city image has run up thousands. In accordance with study achieving the good mark, both large and medium-sized cities and villages all over the country find the importance of shaping brand image and information. Then they begin to develop the city's nature resource and humanistic resource, seek for city's sustainable development and shape their own brand image.This text is divided to three parts. The third part is the important point. According to use instruct of city image and the relative knowledge of communication theories, this text combines the successful cases of branding city image in Dalian and Qingdao to analysis the characteristic city resource and image location. At last this text analysis many documents about advantage and disadvantage of city resource in Changchun to offer an unique strategy for advertising its city image in Changchun.
