An Empirical Study On The Technology Diffusion Effects Of International Trade In Hunan Province

The practice which China's reform and opening up proves that, thedegree of opening is proportionate to the economic and socialdevelopment. Hunan province as an important member of the CentralDistrict, technology is a bottle-neck in Hunan's development.This dissertation has carried on the detailed discussion to the theoryrelation among technology diffusion and international trade on the basisof a large number of relevant documents, and has done an empirical studyof Hunan province. This dissertation has analyzed the relevant factorswhich influencing the technology progress effect of Hunan province forinstance the human capital, R&D stock. Especially, we mostly pay closeattention to the technology diffusion through international trade. On thebasis of the above research, we find that: (1) it is very important that thetechnology diffusion through intemational trade facilitates the technologyprogress of Hunan; (2) R&D activities not only are the important sourcesof domestic innovation, but also improve the absorptive capacity toforeign technology; (3) the quantity and quality of the human capital ofhost country are the key factors of developing countries carrying oninnovation and obtaining technology diffusion successfully;...
