With the development of globalization and the deepening of the market competition, more and more enterprises begin to adjust their competitive relations strategically, gradually from the initial competitive relations to the competitive and cooperative relations. Therefore, coopetitive strategic alliances have attracted great attention, and the establishment of coopetitive strategic alliances has become a"shortcut"for enterprises to enhance their strength. In order to acquire the biggest profit, enterprises begin to attach importance to their own situation so that they can win more profits than their alliances. Against such a backdrop, an empirical study on the factors that influence enterprise alliances'capability in coopetitive strategic alliances is conducted. The objective of this dissertation is to explore the major factors that influence enterprise alliances'capability and provide a theoretical support for enterprises to improve their alliance capability. The major method that this dissertation adopts is SEM. Data are mainly collected from the enterprises which has underwent a coopetitive strategic alliance and the enterprises which are about to have such an alliance. After a study on the relevant theory and document, domestic and abroad, a primary questionnaire is formed on the resources, capability, reputation, experience of alliance, intensity of competition and alliance capability, etc.. The formal questionnaire is formed later after the adjustment and improvement of the index system and the structure of questionnaire. There are two steps in the whole investigation. Firstly, a small sample investigation is conducted to simplify the indexes and to find the basic gene structure. The method of is to utilize software SPSS13.0 . Some indexes not meeting the requirements are deleted according to the result of analysis, and the questionnaire is further revised and improved. Secondly, large sample investigation is conducted. To ensure the quality of the data, the same analysis of Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Reliability Analysis in the large samples is also carried out. Meanwhile, through the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), we find that the index system of capability, reputation, intensity of competition and alliance capability is guaranteed so that the data can meet the demands of this study.Afterwards, the data of samples is processed by software AMOS6.0 to arrive at an analysis on the hypothetical structural relations between the alliance capability and the influential factors. The results are: The resources, capability, reputation, experience of alliance of enterprises have prominent and positive effect on their alliance, and the intensity of competition does not have an obvious effect on the alliance capability of enterprises', which accords with the actual situation of the economic life.In the end, on the basis of the results of the empirical analysis, this dissertation has proposed some suggestions and measures to improve the enterprises'alliance capability. As this is the first time effort to carry out an empirical study on the alliance capability affecting the coopetitive strategic alliance, deficiencies are unavoidable, and improvements are expected in the researches afterwards. In spite of that, the conclusion and method of this research and the relevant index system will surely lay a solid foundation for further research.
