People realized that the biggest traveling harvest lies in learn through the nature and the enviroment, even lif in the traveling process. In other words, people more and more pay great attention to ideal condition of travel and obtain the joyful feeling in the mental through travel. But in recent years, traveling security accidents are reported to self-service travel frequently following with highly praise, so studing on traveling behavior of this crowd has the practical significance.The paper takes Guangzhou as a case to study on tourist behavior by applying thetheory of geography, psychology, tuorism and so on. Discussing on decision-making behavior, spatial behavior, as well as the safety behavior of self-service traveling population in typical origin. Base on studying theory, collecting data, sending questionnaire, analysing statistical, revealing the influence factors and rule of Guangzhou's self-service travel population behavior initially and conducting the self-service traveling connection industry. Thought that is a effective way to provide the standard, high quality and the multiplex services for the self-service traveling population.The studying'structure are designed as follows:Chapter one of introduction, a brief review of international and domestic researches on tourist behavior and self-service travel, identifies basic concept. Chapter2, analysis the present situation and traveling characteristic of Guangzhou's self-service travel population. Decision-making behavior, spatial behavior, and safty behavior of self-service population in Guangzhou city, are studied in Chapter3, Chapter4 and Chapter5 respectively.Chapter 6, proposes the countermeasure research in view of the self-service traveling population behavior, thinking it is essential for consummateing the self-service traveling environment, and constructing a self-service traveling industrial mode. Conclusions and weakness are drawn and proposed in Chapter7. Results shows that:①The self-service traveling population of Guangzhou is mainly composed of college student and enterprise employee, who mainly 18 years old to 35 years old, unmarried and has the school record from technical college to Master. Male slightly more than feminine. Those who have average month income below¥3000 is foundation part. Those who have average month income in¥3000~¥5000 is the nucleus and those who have average month income above¥5000 income possibly become vanguard in this area. They mostly carry on about a week self-service travel outside Guangzhou to the domestic scope. They are not been obviously influence by touring season and fond of small mass activities within 10 person as well as quite high traveling expense ability.②The self-service traveling population of Guangzhou have partiality for sightseeing and takeing leisure vacation, at the same time, the special interest type and the network convenes type both become new favorite; They main traveling motive is study motive; Mainly through the traveling website and the forum to gain tour informations that about other people travel notes, transportation network and destination map.③Their "great scale" first grade spatial behavior account for 71.6%, "Interprovincial/domestic" second grade spatial behavior account for 58.9%, as well as "Domestic peripheral provinces and cities" third grade spatial behavior account for 33.3%; They have partiality for southeast tourist area and qingzang tourist area, meanwhile their spatial behavior rank level shows three features.④Their traveling safety cognition is high, mainly through television and network gain the traveling safety messages; People meet with social crime occupy absolute component; All kinds of traveling safety accident give them different degree hurt in psychology and physiology, affecting their original plan and once more decision-making simultaneously.
