Research On Zhejiang Local Textile Industrial Network Upgrading Based GVC

With the development of globalization, local industrial networks characterized bygeographical agglomeration of economic activities are being embedded in globalvalue chain (GVC). It is unlikely to understand the interregional dynamic industrialrestructuring if regional economic advantages are seen only from intemal factors.However, if local industrial networks are placed in global economic system, a newpicture of regional industrial developments will be in sight. Therefore the globallinkages are equally important to regional economic development as local industriallinkage.In the part of theories, based on industrial economics, network organization,technological innovation, regional economics development, and by adoptingprinciples in qualitative & quantitative analysis, network analysis and value chainanalysis, the paper probes into upgrading of Zhejiang local textile industrial networkembedded in globalization. This paper first carry up the theory of local industrialnetworks, and analyzes the reasons and background of Zhejiang local textile industrialnetworks embedded in global value chain; then illustrates pressure of upgradingfacing Zhejiang local textile industrial networks in intense global competition; basedon that, the paper analyzes the mechanism of Zhejiang local textile industrialnetworks upgrading and formulates a theoretical framework.
