The Research Of China's Local Textile Industry Cluster Inserting Into The Global Value Chain And Upgrading

Under the background of the economic globalization, the Local Industrial Cluster, taking the network organization of the industry as one of the characteristics, successfully deduced a new pattern of the district economic development. Global Value Chain is a novel theory with which we can fully resurvey the globally economic structure and development to analyze global industry relations and industry updating issues by combining two visual angles of microcosmic and macrocosmic. The theory provides us with a system platform onto which we can resurvey the competitive ability and the improved method of the industry.This paper theoretically expands the governing structure of the Global Value Chain, the embedded pattern into the Global Value Chain and the interconnection of the Local Industrial Clusters. By experience of Shaoxing textile industry cluster, which is very representative in China textile industry, blending into Global Value Chain to participate in international division of labor, we can demonstrate the general rules of blending pattern of textile industry and industry updating.There are six chapters in this paper. The first chapter provides questions and summarization of related literatures. The second chapter analyzes the structure of the Local Industrial Cluster and the pattern of the embedded Global Value Chain, analyzes the different embedding patterns within the kinds of industrial cluster and the local textile industrial cluster. In third chapter, how the governing pattern of the Global Value Chain affects the upgrading of the Local Industrial Cluster is studied. The route for industry upgrading and the confronted pressure under the four different governing patterns are discussed. The fourth chapter discusses the development and classification of Shaoxing textile industry cluster, and it's pattern of blending into the Global Value Chain. In chapter five, by blending into the Global Value Chain, how the Local textile industrial cluster promotes industry updating is discussed. After balancing chances and obstacles, strategic choice of the industry updating is provided.The sixth chapter is the conclusion.
