| Energy is an important material base for humankind's existence and production. Today, its exploring not only directly influences humankind's living, but also increasingly influences the international relations. Due to the greatly increase of energy consumption, it is important for foreign strategies of China and India to ensure the energy security.China and India are two neighboring great nations in geography; therefore, it is inevitable to compete for the oil and gas. But the result of the competition is the raise of the price of oil and gas, then, the two nations will pay extra for the high price. Therefore breaking the competition, forming the common voice and realizing the energy cooperation are in accord with the both nations common interest, they are also propitious for further economy development and national security.This thesis discusses the necessity and the possibility for energy cooperation between China and India from different angles. At the same time, the thesis analyses the cooperation from International Regimes theory. It is necessary to establish stable cooperation regimes for long-time energy cooperation. Although the cooperation between the two nations is full of difficulties for boundary dispute, Tibet problem and so on, the two nations will deal with the conflicts from long-term benefits. |
