Understanding On Corporate Social Responsibility In Ethics

Nowadays the academic circle both at home and abroad have already reached an agreement on the practical meanings and theoretic value of corporate social responsibility(CSR), which pushes the development of CSR in theory, but further discussion to study CSR in theory is needed in ethics. On the basis of reviewing the origin and development courses of CSR, this article defines the basic meanings of CSR theoretically from perspective of ethics. With the help of the utilitarianism ethics and stakeholder theory, this thesis tries to study the rationality of CSR in view of ethics by means of corporate property and social justice. CSR is provided not only with theory but also with reality. CSR is determined not only by corporate property but also by social justice. CSR is not only embodied by personal value pursue of investors and mature development of the market economy system, but also is needed by corporate's sustainable development and harmonious society.
