A Discussion On The Construction Of Tourism Discipline From The View Of Tourism Higher Education

China tourism higher education have developed many talents for tourism industry since it began twenty eight years ago, however some problems expose at the same time. So domestic scholars did much study and put forward their innovation strategies and philosophies. Seeing that the nature relation between tourism education and tourism science study, mature tourism discipline directing tourism education, and be the foundation of setting up curriculums and putting up nurturing aims, the author believe that setting up independent tourism discipline system should be the root of settling the problems. Regards tourist's need as logical starting point, the paper try to build a framework of tourism discipline system.In the first part , the paper reviewed the course of China tourism industry and education, expounded domestic scholars'innovation strategies and philosophies, the creative point was proposed at the same time.In the second part, after made some analysis on domestic tourism science study, the paper drew a conclusion that domestic tourism science study isn't mature, but had obtained certain achievement. The reason why students are in the inferiority in the employment market is that tourism higher education lacks an independent discipline system being instruction and students lack unique theory knowledge. Tourism needs an independent tourism discipline system.In the third part, by tourism education in Europe and School of Hotel Administration of Cornell University and William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at University of Nevada Las Vegas in America for example, the paper tried to find out the enlightenment significance to China.The fourth part is the key one of this paper. By tourist's need for logical beginning, tourist's movement for logical master line, the paper tried to build a framework of tourism discipline system. Finally the paper gave two suggestions, the one is organizing a national level Tourism Academic Society, the other is rearranging the unreasonable structure of putting the tourism science under the umbrella of business management study, establishing tourism science as an independent discipline.
