It first qualitatively analyzes the distributions of world oil and gas resources, points out the characteristics and trend of the world petroleum industry, and summarizes the overall features of the world geophysical business. In addition, this paper analyzes the competitive situation and competitors BGP faces and meets domestically and internationally .Based on this, the paper illustrates BGP-faced opportunities and challenges using the SWOT method. Finally, the paper proposes the strategic proposition in BGP'S future development according to BGP'S present reality. This paper is based on a great deal of competitors'data and intensive analyses to provide a sound basis for the formulation and implementation of BGP'S overseas business development strategies.
