Aesthetic education is of great vital part in quality education, by which we can cultivate students'correct esthetic viewpoints as well as aesthetic feelings, appreciates and creates aesthetic ability. The education can not neglect the esthetic education in order to promote the comprehensive qualities of students. The process of aesthetic education is accompanied by rational intuition, which can bridge the intuition and the sensibility in students, can lead students from understanding to creation, and can take the role of edifying the truth with the use of beauty. Therefore, it can be understood as that aesthetic education embraces a pushing force in our whole education system. The research in aesthetic education has always been a major question for study in quality education nowadays, but the status quo of aesthetic education during the actual teaching procedure is not optimisticAesthetic education in tourism teaching is how the principles of aesthetics and aesthetic education are specifically used in tourism teaching, if we can make use of aesthetic education in our tourism teaching, it will be of great value and help. In the course of teaching and learning practice combined with aesthetic practice, inspired by aesthetic perception, the students are more active in thinking. In this way, the teaching efficiency is greatly improved. And at the same time, the students' intelligence is aroused; their sentiment and potential creative abilities are greatly developed. As a consequence, students' quality is promoted and harmoniously developed in an all-round way. Compared-with other subjects, tourism discipline consists of rich elements of aesthetic education and peculiar aesthetic characteristics. It is an essential question for study to combine the specific content of tourism discipline with aesthetic education in teaching practice so as to exert its function of aesthetic education efficiently.With careful inference to the thoughts in aesthetics, pedagogy, psychology,sociology; and the methodologies in questionnaires and interviews; by the way of a macroscopically reflections, the author aims to promote the aesthetic quality of students, and then to cultivate the comprehensive qualities and creative ability.The thesis analyses it mainly from six aspects as follows:In preface, the author expresses the inevitability of aesthetic education; introduces the theory of the study, as well as method. After that, the train of the thought of this research is brought forth. The second part, the author comprehensive reviews literature about the foreign and national issues in this field. The third part, it systematic introduces the status quo of aesthetic education; and expounds the necessity of strengthening aesthetic education in tourism course. With results from questionnaires and interviews the thesis studies the questions and factors of aesthetic education in tourism teaching. The forth part is about the research of recommendation on aesthetic education in tourism teaching, the author also emphasizes the nuclear status of esthetic experiences. The fifth part, takes tourism culture course for example, the key elements of aesthetic education and aesthetic characteristics in tourism culture course have also been theoretically expounded. In addition, the author tries to design the conception of aesthetic instruction and extracurricular practice. In the end of this thesis, the author will summarize the above content and point out the insufficiencies of this research and issues this should be discussed further.The object of this thesis is to help guide or suggest the practice of in aesthetic education in tourism teaching.
