Characteristics Of Resources And Ecoagricultural Construction In Enshi

Ecoagriculture is an agricultural producing manner based on protecting eco-environment, which fully uses the local resources and enhances the economic efficiency. Enshi is located in the west part of Hubei province, and it is very poor for the condition of agriculture and very vulnerable for its eco-environment. Ecoagriculture is an inevitable way for local agricultural development and economical construction. Its significance displays that it can not only improve local agricultural producing environment, but also have an effect on the area of Yangtze River middle and lower. The ecoagricultural construction can effectively use the reserve land resource and fully use surplus labors as well. Mainwhile it may transform the economical growth way and strengthen the district agriculture sustainable development.The natural resources in Enshi show following characteristics from our investigation, i. e. multifamily of the soil resource, the climatic types and crop varieties, rich in water resources, diversity of creature resource, the unique of mineral resources and the frequency of natural disaster. Enshi's economy has been lagging behind the other districts in Hubei provece for the reasons of geographical position, natural conditions, old economic mechanism and conservative mentality of the local people. The agricultural in the most part of Enshi is a traditional one according to Sheng Hengli's theory on dividing of agriculture developing phase.Since 2000, based on the experinces both local and other areas, we have analysised 3 levels of ecoagricultural model:(1) farmland ecoagficultural model: we have analysised farm ecoagficultural model, which took dry field multi-storeyed planting model, paddy field rice—fish planting—breeding model, hill fruiter-crop multi—storeyed planting model for principal part.(2) smallholder ecoagricultural model: we have analysised "Pigs—marsh gas—fruits" model and eco-cottage etc..(3) township ecoagficultural model: we have analysised the many levels utilizing model for organic matter, the planting—breeding—agricultural product remaking-trading model, modern ecoagricultural exhibition, and tourism ecoagriculture model.In order to develop ecoagficulture in this part, first of all we have to establish and consummate the mechanish of constructing agriculture, gradually solve the problems of external benefit and external cost, then we have to make good plan to guiding the local ecoagriculture, then we have to explore newly ecoagricultural model as well to extend ecoagricultural constructive scale by means of the reasonable distribution for both natural and scociel resources. Meanwhile we have to pay a close attention to the environment protection in development extroversion agriculture, including eco-tourism, producing green food and organic food, substance recycling and the source reusing and so on.
