The property of petroleum profession include high risk, high investment, which decides that extensive petroleum corporation is an effective way to scatter risk. Irregular distributions of petroleum recourses and unbalance of the national petroleum technique make many companies carrying on international petroleum cooperation by all means. This thesis researches on the international petroleum modes of cooperation, which also provide the basement of how a competitive company participates in international cooperation of petroleum. The main modes of international petroleum cooperation are mineral tax system, production sharing contract, risk service contract, and buy-back contract. This thesis analyzes and contrasts five kinds of modes.There are four important factors that influence the international petroleum modes of cooperation, including risk of the contract, facts which impact the benefits, finance and tax system of resources country, and regional resources. This thesis tries to illuminate that how the four factors impact the international petroleum modes of cooperation. These four factors also show a way to analysis the factors of economy before carrying on the international corporation of petroleum business enterprise. According to the analysis of the modes and other factors, this thesis points out the blemish and shortage of the international petroleum corporation. The thesis also gives suggestion to deal with the problem, including that research the petroleum laws of resource countries to control of the project; take "Double argument" system with combining economic argument and technique argument to make full use of finance and tax system of the resource countries; build up a control mechanism to control the risk of investment; and make the management of overseas investment in orders to control the cost of management and enhance the efficiency of investment operation.
