As one of the three underpinning businesses of contemporary commercial banks, intermediary business has drawn extensive attention from the global banking system. This paper analyzes the history, status quo and tendency of intermediary business in the American commercial banks and also summarizes their valuable and successful experiences. By so doing, it is hoped to contribute to enriching ideas about the expansion of intermediary business in the Chinese commercial banks and help find adoptable countermeasures. |
