Distribution channel is the channel that the product has been transfered from the enterprise to the consumer, so that the enterprise can achieve their marketing objective. It is also the whole channel that the commodity or service has been transferred from the manufactures to the consumers, it is one of important content of the whole marketing strategy of the enterprise, and it has also been claimed more and more people's attention. Nowadays, the automobile industry has been developed very fast in China, the distribution channel management is very essential for the whole industry to improve their core competitiveness.Firstly, this thesis has introduced correlation theory about distribution channel management both here and abroad. Secondly, it has summarized automobile distribution channel management model in American and EU and Japan respectively.and introduced three automobile distribution management models of GM,VW and Toyota respectively. then analyze their common character in distribution channel management.Thirdly,this thesis has selected Jiangling Corporation as research object. It analyzes its distribution channel management situation, evaluate its channel model, the middleman selection, the channel management and channel supportive organization.and has pointed out the main problems in the process of its distribution channel management. Lastly, Based on this and use for reference of advanced distribution channel managemet abroad.the writer has put forward some pieces of advice to improve and perfect Jiangling Corporation from plan, organize, coordinate and control aspect. It is necessary for the corporation to perfect its network layout and the form of organization, and it is also need to perfect its coordination organization,especially to strengthen its control management of the channel.presently, it is a lot of opportunity to develop for our automobile industry, Hope this thesis can be used for reference for other automobile manufactures by the research of the distribution channel management model of Jiangling Corporation.
