With fiercer competition in the market and ever increasing challenges ahead, those enterprises, characterized by large investment, fierce competition, high risks and good returns have to strengthen its competitive power and respond to the immediate changes from the outside world so as to obtain sustainable competition advantages and attain their ultimate goals. Meanwhile, it is of equal necessity for them to cling to technological innovations and seek technological advantages as such enterprises have been traditionally nurtured.With a review of the theories on strategy development in the west, the present thesis starts with the basic theories on enterprise strategy management and stresses the historical as well as future development of the more mature strategy management theories and the mainstream academic schools in foreign countries. It has also made an analysis of current researches on enterprise strategy management at home and further presented the approaches together with the framework applied in the thesis.Firstly, the thesis has traced to the historical development of Kangtai(Kangtai Network Science and Technology Co.,Ltd,Hunan)in terms of its company profile and analyzed the management system of the company. It has also provided an insight into the macro and micro environments the company is now facing. Moreover, a forecast has been produced to foretell the outlook of the New Cooperative Medicare System in Rural Areas within the next three years and that of network-based medical education. Besides, Potter's theory on competition strategy has been applied to analyze the competition models that Kangtai has presently met with. A subsequent study of its inner environment and resources has been undertaken to draw the conclusion that it has become a must for the company to improve its business strategies.Secondly, the thesis has confirmed the task that Kangtai has to fulfill, with a proposal of a target strategy and an overall strategy. At the same time an analysis of the company's business strategies has been included in the thesis only to raise a package of strategies on market development, competition and technology innovation for Kangtai's future development.Lastly, the thesis has proposed a pillar system of business strategy implementation based on innovations of competitive edge, institution and management. Also, it has stressed that refined enterprise profile as well as effective organizational structure help to ensure the implementation of the strategies.Through a case study of Kangtai the thesis also serves as a valuable reference for other medical businesses that provides products or services oriented in updated and advanced technology.
