BPR Of Water & Electric Power In Beijing Electric Power Company

The globalization of Economics increases the serious competition in global market. After entering WTO, Chinese enterprises are now facing many new opportunities and challenges. Currently how to satisfy different customers and keep continuing development by quickest feedback, highest quality, and lowest cost service in cleanest environment is the key issue for Chinese companies. In order to survive and develop, enterprises should adjust themselves based on the internal and external environment for the latest changes. Nowadays many companies use BPR (Business Process Reengineering) to solve their management problems and increase their competitive power. This thesis makes a deep research on the management of water & electric power in Beijing Electric Power Company and then practice the theory of BPR on it. The main creative points are as follows:Firstly this thesis develops a systematic framework for the whole BPR.This framework includes guidance regulation, processing, methods and equipments. Also this framework accelerates the change from BRP theory to practice, makes BPR more workable with less misplay chances.Secondly Beijing Electric Power Company decreases its cost dramatically, shorter nearly two thirds processing time and saving nearly half labors after BPR. Also the working efficiency increases 4% and almost 98% of customs feel satisfied for their service after BPR. As company looks better in business and management area, this case is very typical to practice management theory and change knowledge into productivity.Another creative point of this thesis is using IT to realize the BPR. This is a key part of current BPR theory which enriches current theory framework.In the end, after concluding possible difficulties and problems in BPR, writer points out six risky areas should be avoided in that processing, which provide good advice on how to practice BPR in current national owned entrepreneurs.
