Managed trade is not only an international trade theory but also a practical policy where the theory is applied. It is not either free trade or protected trade while it takes their advantages. The spread of managed trade policy in the countries is in line with "national interest" criteria for all the countries. The internationalization of the economy does not mean free trade within the international scope. Whether from the interests of domestic demand or the relations between states, trade policy and trade protection factor of the international economy in all the countries will not be removed. In the process of international economic management of national trade policies are the inevitable choice.In the late 1970s and early 1980s, some western developed countries have adopted a managed trade policy, and have achieved some results. At the same time, some developing countries for the protection and development of the national economy needs, also adopted managed trade theory to their trade policies. Since reform and opening up in the late 1970s, china keeps foreign trade rapid growth, trade structure significant improvement and the market continuous expansion; the pattern of all-round opening-up has basically formed; open economic has rapidly developed; China foreign economic relations have undergone major changes. Managed trade run in the many other countries keeps increasing the influence of the china economic and trade development.Therefore, in the current trend of the international trade management of the development, the best option for China's trade policy during the economic transition is of partial protection of trade policy: firstly, the government adopts the standardized indirect market control, which makes the foreign trade run according to objective economic laws and fully utilize the international and domestic markets and optimize the allocation of resources; secondly the government takes part in the international coordination more actively and in the process of trade liberalization, implements reasonable and appropriate trade protection; Thirdly, the policy should not only serve the country the goal of economic development, but also meet the requirements of the further the markets globalization, trade liberalization, international capitalization. Based on the comparative analysis of the managed trade policy, in this work, adaptive Countermeasures of the Chinese foreign trade was proposed.This paper is organized as follows: the first chapter gives the literature review and addresses the content and the meaning of this paper. Chapter 2 analyzed the performance and trend of the managed trade. Moreover, the influence of the managed trade on the different countries' economic was concerned. In chapter 3, the development and characteristics of Chinese foreign trade were stated, And the policy of Chinese foreign trade over the different stages were discussed. Empirical analysis of the influence of the managed trade on Chinese foreign trade was conducted in Chapter 4. Chapter 5 summed up China's current situation of the basic development of foreign trade, and a few suggestions on trade and management development of China's trade policies were proposed.
