In recent decades, the prosperity of the Historiography of Science was the product of development in History of Science. It was a historical, theoretical and overall research for this subject itself. Studies on the new trends of the History of Science are problems in the forefront of the Historiography of Science and have been paid widespread attention at home and abroad. Taking into account the large number of information contained in authoritative journal about the History of Science, while avoiding the unreliability of results concluded by a single journal, through analyzing the contents metrically from 1993 to 2005 in three most authoritative journals on History of Science (ISIS, History of Science , British Journal for the History of Science), the paper displayed detailedly the microcosmic orbits of History of Science, revealed the hot points and hold the trends from the macrocosm and provided evidence and theoretical support for Historiography of Science. This will undoubtedly have an important academic value and theoretical significance. This article has three parts. The first part cast back the history of the subject. The research of History of Science turned from "Internal History" built by the founder to "External History" interacting with society in the 80s. Afterwards, it went to controversy and integration between the two. Recently, researchers have reached a consensus on "integration" at home and abroad. But how to achieve "integration" and how to find new historiographic method is being explored. Through reviewing the development of the History of Science and understanding the important changes in this field, this part displayed different traditions of the research on the History of Science, revealed the theory plight of the further development of it and reflected academic significance and practical urgency of theoretical studies on the History of Science .The second part is the core part of the article. Through classifying and analyzing metrically the contents in ISIS, History of Science and British Journal for the History of Science from 1993 to 2005, comparing their results and comparing with the results since 1913, this part revealed the hot points and their trends in recent decades: Physics and Medicine are hot topics; Figures and Case Studies are important fields; the 19th and 20th century are critical periods; Comprehensive trend is more evident; "Internal History" is still the mainstream, "External History" is increasing. The third part is deep-rooted causal analysis and philosophical thought for the new trends on History of Science. Given the History of Science is a branch of science subjects, and associated with other "science studies" the most originally, this part explored how Nature Science, History of Science itself, the Philosophy of Science, Sociology of Scientific Knowledge, Post-modernism and Feminism affected deeply the development of history of science. The new research trends of the History of Science are the result influenced commonly by these subjects. The forth part is a profound reflection and theoretical explorations into the road of the research on History of Science. According to the method of context analysis, this part put forward the trends of History of Science—"contextual integration of Historiography of Science. The integration has no idea to play a practice influence to the research on History of Science, but as far as its important methodology shown is related, it is abound to make Historiography of Science into a broader prospect.
