In the present world of economy globalization, facing increasingly complex competition environment and complicated national culture difference, decreasing joint venture integration cost and creating great corporate culture has become a new source for modern companies to build core competitive capability and competitive advantage. How to identify and constitute cross-cultural integration model has become the groundwork for implementing cross-cultural management. So, it becomes help to analyze management issues and difficulties originated from cultural differences between joint ventures so that more understandings are acquired upon the functions of cultural value and behavior expectation in the operation of economy and management of enterprises and that proper coordination can be made between Chinese and America it also has been a vital issue gaining more and more attention from both scholars and joint ventures. At present, bilateral trade and jointly-funded becomes increasing between China and America, at the same time, culture conflicts have representative in both side and American corporate culture has typical uniqueness, however, scholars studied less about this at home and abroad. Under this background, this paper goes further research about this issue.This thesis runs through culture theories and discusses several points in details centered on how to establish corporate culture integration framework and how to apply culture difference knowledge to Sino-German joint venture activities. The thesis starts with the subject to be studied followed by literature retrospection in the field of corporate culture and cross-cultural management both in home and abroad. It discusses the interrelated nation culture theory and nature, types, influence factor and characters of corporate culture. What's more, it analyses the relation and influence between national culture and corporate culture, and explores a model by identifying some key influence factor. The thesis also elaborates theory in the cross-cultural management, discusses its development trend and corresponding strategies.This paper also discusses the similarities and differences of China and German national culture and corporate culture from culture differences. After analyzing and comparing above, this paper analyzes Sino-German corporate culture conflict; Based on these, it puts forwards a model of Sino-German cross- cultural integration, which includes pivotal contributing factors and integrating strategies. Finally, this dissertation conducts field study of JMCG-FORD according to above theories, searches for the roots of cross-cultural problems in this joint venture by analyzing differences from corporate culture, style of management and modes of conduct. It goes further to analyzes main reasons which cause the clash in the corporation and bring forward the implement tactic about cross- cultural integration. The final part is the conclusion, which proves the preceding model.
