Research On Logistics Modes Decision Making Of Enterprises-Based On Computer Aided Content Analysis

Third party logistics can bring some advantages to enterprises, such as: improving core competence, lowering operational cost, improving service level and ECT. As a result, 3pl has been paid lots of attention and has made great progress since it appeared in 1980s. But it can also bring some disadvantages to enterprises when using 3pl, such as: reducing ability to control the logistics, risks of leakage of confidential corporate strategy and customer relationship management and ECT. For these reasons, it is advised that enterprises must think about all kind of factors related to their own logistics when they make decisions on their logistics mode in order to choose the most suitable one.At first, this paper has reviewed the literature on logistics mode decision making, the process and the trend of develepment in its' model has been also analyzed. From the two points, we realized that it is necessary to perfect logistics mode decision making model unceasingly, then the author bring forward 6 hypotheses related to logistics mode decision making. Next, 97 English literature on 3pl was analyzed by one of Computer Aided Content Analysis (CACA) software-HAMLET II, 6 factors that could influence logistics mode decision making have been found out, they are: asset that related to logistics in enterprise and the risk of investment in logistics; the situation of expertise and specialist in enterprise; the stability of external environment such as market, resource, techenology; if logistics is the core competence of enterprises; if cost could be reduced and service could be improved when 3pl is employed; and time requirement on logistics operation and if enterprise has capability to gain enough information of logistics. In the end, the author look these 6 factors as 6 independent variables to set up a logistics mode decision making model by using TongYiFan evaluation model, and a decision making has been made according to Set Pair Force (SPF). At the same time, the procedure of enterprises logistics mode decision making has been offered, too.The research result of this paper, which is gained from summing lots of literature that involed many logistics reseachers' wisdom, will has a certain extent instruction on enterprises' logistics operation. In addition, TongYiFan Set Pair Analysis (SPA) is much suitable to make decision of logistics mode because it is easy to understand and to operate.
