Job evaluation is a systematic process designed to determine the relative worth of jobs within a single work organization. Job evaluation can efficiently solve some knotty internal problems that a company generally faces when it is setting up its reward mechanism. As a result, job evaluation provides theoretical bases and operational methods for the reward system reform in modern enterprises.Starting with the job features and its present reward system in Suhua Corporation, the present paper first discusses the theoretical and practical significance of its job evaluation, then introduces the concept, origin, and history of development of job evaluation, and expounds the theoretical bases and basic methods of job evaluation as well. The paper also analyzes the operational process of the three stages and nine steps of job evaluation, focused on the justification of the establishment of its factor system. The present paper carries out empirical research on job evaluation in Suhua Corporation with the design of its concrete plan, and discusses the problems that more attention ought to be paid to while it is being implemented. Based upon these, the paper then intends to assess the outcome of job evaluation in Suhua Corporation objectively, and looks forward to the prospect of the new reward system structure and the competence management system through the application of the outcome.
