Study On Developing China's Engineering Insurance

Engineering insurance is one of the kinds of the property insurance which to ensure the risk of construction and projects. It includes construction insurance, installation insurance, and Hi-Tech engineering insurance. engineering insurance is very important for both its protection of the builder and owner of the projects and the system of the engineering contracts. It's also an important way to harmonize each party that take part in the contracts.The project quality is very important not only because it is closely related to the applicability of the building and the investments of the project but people's life and property. It also related to the stability and the development of the society. We are in the period of the building-booming, the projects invests more and more money, but in recent years hazards and accidents often take place and result in big loss. So it's quite important to research on how to deal with the risks in the period of construction.This paper gives a brief introduction of engineering insurance, its characteristics, its functions and the necessity to develop China's engineering insurance. we also analyzes the common and unique experience of the western developed countries, and the inspirations to develop China's engineering insurance. After that, we discuses the main problems in developing China's engineering insurance in both macro-level and idiographic operation.At last, on the basis of analyses the experience of the western developed countries, we give the advices on how to develop the engineering insurance in China: adjust developing measures to local conditions, cultivate the intermediums, perfect our laws, and cultivate the experts. For each company, we should develop our idiographic operations to be competitive, and to be perfect. The paper brings out the ideas of establishing the harmonious society with the engineering insurance.
