Homogenization of products, industrial design has become blooming Assassin's mace for manufacturers to breakout, and plays a negative role in accelerating the upgrading of products. A high level of industrialization and commercialization cause a large number of industrial and living wastes. The advancement of technology seems to aggravate the situation, the environment cause serious harm. Into the post-industrial era, the countries actively reflect on the economic development of the adverse impact on the environment and assume responsibility for it. Out of high technology brought about by environmental problems, the author on the basis of previous studies, based on the low-tech sustainable design concept, thinking of design skills to the feasibility of the sustainable product. Aiming to interpret of the values of sustainable development, recall the sensitivity to the ecological environment by low-tech design."In front of a mirror, one can finish appearance; taking people as a mirror, one can know the gains and losses; taking history as a mirror, one can know prosperity and degeneracy." Similarly, take a lesson from western counties.Innovations in this paper are:(1) Putting forward the low-tech sustainable design concept;(2) Based on 4 R principles, put forward two or more functional shape in the form of extension of product life-cycle model of sustainability;(3) Establish the 3 E + T evaluation model for low-tech sustainable design.In addition, the paper studies cases at home and abroad, in-depth study of user needs and user environment elements. SWOT analysis on the use of the product life cycle stages of system analysis and research, systems and products in which the environment and its interaction between environment and the impact and possible outcomes. Ultimately sums up a set of low-tech sustainable design principles and methods, and to establish a reasonable and objective evaluation system.Finally, with the participation in the project of kitchen waste processing system as examples of pre-verification of the whole research.
