It is important measure that equipment manufacturing industry must be implemented informatiztion to expedite new product development and improve its competition ability. ASN Company, as a main supplier of UAV in China, still exist the problems of subsection management and information islands in the enterprise's information construction process, which influence the real results of informatiztion. It's necessary to carry out the whole life cycle management of UAV Product which includes the management which synthesizes and has a preface to each life stage of the UAV Product and makes the product information managed from an unify aspect and used more efficiently inside the whole life cycles. In this way, the process of company informatization can be able to accelerate, the new type can be researched and developed much sooner, and the product quality and comprehensive effect can be promoted.In this paper, UAV product lifecycle management is researched according to the theoretic of PLM and the actual management characteristics of UAV. Firstly, the six stages of UAV product life cycle are plotted out and its connotation and characteristic are defined. The main management activities of UAV product life cycle are analyzed and the main management contents are abstracted. Secondly, based on proceeding analysis about information classification and characteristics of UAV product life cycle, the main information of UAV product life cycle is abstracted according to the evolution way of UAV product life cycle. The information relations of each stage of the whole life cycle are analyzed; its usage circumstance and each stage information system are presented. Finally, the theory framework for UAV product life cycle management is proposed. The PLM System is designed and the practice strategies on UAV product life cycle management are presented.
