A Study On Strategies Of China Forestry Products Trade Friction

With China being a member of WTO and the changing situation of China's opening to the world, its forestry products trade and trade friction have been given much attention by the whole world. Since forestry products trade and trade friction have connection with forestry industry development, workers and farmers employment and national social-economic healthy development, the strategies to settle forestry products trade friction is considered very useful just like some steps taken to improve the situation of China forestry products trade.Before this study, literature review is finished to learn such studies as the conception of trade friction, its types, reasons and affection, etc.. In this paper, the conception about forestry products trade friction is studied and defined based on the conceptions of trade friction and forestry products. It is worth to say, this definition may be not good, but the first try is necessary.About methodology, our study learned carefully about international trade and international economics. Those theories tell us some methods about comparing theory to study and explore the factors which always result in trade friction. It shows that in recent years, China's forestry products export to several countries or regions, is increasing rapidly in a short time, which will always lead to trade friction.Based on such theories and the situation of forestry products trade friction happened on China, it shows that: forestry products trade will lead to the producer's surplus and tax revenue rising, but consumer's surplus and the national welfare falling in import country. As for export country, products trade friction will lead to reduce of export, producer's surplus falling, and lower level of employment. All the above analysis about the situation, characters, reasons of forestry products trade friction, as while as its impacts on social welfare, this study designs the mechanism and strategies to avoid trade friction and boost the development of forestry products trade. To validate those suggestions, a case study is finished about Wooden Bedroom Furniture Dumping in America.
