The intergration of Kaifeng and Zhengzhou is an important decision made by Henan Province to speed up the developmentof city group in Middle China. It is also the first break through in starting up the rise of city group in Middle China. It provides good opportunities for Kaifeng's ecnomic development. And the implemen-tation of itenables resources to be shared in a largerarea and deployed better, so as to realize the functional comple-ment and promote the exchange, intermingling as well as development of two cities. This thesis analyses the advantages of Kaifeng in aspect of sustainable development during the intergration of Kaifeng and Zhengzhou, provides in-struction for economic interaction, brings chance to Kaifeng and creates conditions for the fast development of Kaifeng economy.Since the reform, the difference appeared not onlygeologically but also socially. It is obviously proved. in residential space. For instance, Kaifeng is such a kind of this for there are a few very individual classified residential areas. The study shows their difference formed with the changes in economy, real estate, planning method andvalue attitude.In recent years, the differentiation of social stratum accompanying spatial expansion of Kaifeng has already been characterized by residential space differentiation to certain extent. This paper analyzes the actuality and the characteristics of residential space structure in Kaifeng and then, it focuses on the intergration of Kaifeng and Zhengzhou that influence the residential differentiation of Kaifeng.With the deepening of the reforms of the urban housing distribution system, the main body of housing consumption of real estate market changes from groups to individuals; residents'selection of housing location transfers from passivity to initiative. Based on field investigationand questionnaire research, taking the Wanke Qingqing Jiayuan as one example, the author applies segregation index and to study the relationship among residents'personal features, worksite, former residence and resident's housing choice behavior.The studymanifests that residents have the same personal features tend to live together during choosing housing location, the function of social and economical features begins to influence residents'housing location choice behavior and residence segregation phenomena begins to turn up; the youthful households tend to choose suburban loacation to live because of restriction of real estate price and income; the abundance or scarcity of education resources is a very important factors to households which have children; the commutertime between present worksite and residence has decisive impact on residents'housing location choice behavior; the households life cycle, the former residence, the consumption conception and information searching also have influence on resident's housing choice behavior. At the same time, the study reveals the common rules of resident's housing location choice behavior when residents freely choose housing location.
