Study On Expanding Rural Households' Consumption Demand In The Regions Of Ethnic Minorities

As one important component of Gross Domestic Products (GDP), consumption demand is the motive force of economic growth. Increase in consumption does not only promote GDP growth directly, but also attract investment and improve its efficiency. Since the reform and open policy had been implemented in our country, the growth speed of national economy has been focused attention on the world. At the same time, the proportion of the inhabitant expends in GDP occupies actually has become low, the countryside expense market growth also is slow in the general multi-national area, and has continued to worn out. The rural shortage in consumption is an important factor to baffle national economy; it will directly affect the development of social economy in our country multi-national area, the enhancement of the lives of the people and socialistic"new rural reconstruction". Therefore, the research on the rural households'consumption demand in the regions of the ethnic minorities and exploring the inside regulation is important in theories and realistic meaning, which is beneficial to help the Government to establish the rural consumption policy and expand the rural consumption market in the regions of the ethnic minorities; to guarantee the macro economy safe circulation; to keep the national economy developing continuous, stable and healthy.The content could be divided into five parts.:In the introduction, the paper first summarizes research fruits of predecessors about consumers'behavior at home and abroad,and the article's framework and study methods are determined.The second part of this paper introduces the status quo of rural households'consuming behavior in our regions of the ethnic minorities, while comparing with other's status. We can make a conclusion that the consumption level of rural inhabitant' in the regions of the ethnic minorities has been very low and expends demand has been insufficient.The third part analyzes main reasons of rural shortage in consumption demand in Xuanen Country. As using the classic models of consumption function, the article analyzes that how income factor influences expense demand, and while uses other people's research to analyze the inhabitant's precautionary saving motive to the influence of expense demand in Xuanen countryside. The worse expense environment in the countryside is disadvantage to the farmer's expends demand; and such as the lower quality of consumer, obsolete expense custom and expense idea, can hinder the consumption demand.The fourth part analysis constitution status of the peasant households'total income and expenditures in Xuanen County countryside, then it can obtain a conclusion that the total income and expenditures of the inhabitant has been growing year by year; the main income of rural households is derived from the income which come from agricultural production. And also their main expenditures are life expenditures and the agricultural cost, but there is a part of transfer expenditures increasing along with the growth of their income every year.Based on the research above, the fifth part provides measures to exploit rural consumption market and expand rural households'consumption demand in the regions of ethnic minorities.Because of the undergoing economic system reform, rural consumer behavior in China changes with the environments, thus, the research concerning the rural consumption of our country is the hot point which the academe pays attention to. The theory field and actual work department had carried out more researches on rural consumption of our country and the rural consumption in the regions of ethnic minorities but not carried discuss on the rural consumption from the angle of theory and demonstration.Based on the current situation, this paper has employed the western theories and methods while made some innovations below:1. Combining the consumption surveying case with the west consumption theories. The author got deep into the rural households in end of August 2006 in XuanEn County which belongs to EnShi Autonomous County For Tujia Nationality and Miao Nationality in Hubei Province .Having interviewed more than 40 peasant household concerning on the peasant income and consuming disbursing, the author had gained a large amount of peasant case and the overall data on income and consuming for XuanEn Count , and then using the western consumption theories to analysis the rural consumption demand in the regions of ethnic minorities of our country.2. Using the theory of precautionary saving to carry out demonstration analysis. This paper has employed Hangbin's result, which is concerning on research for using the theory of precautionary saving to analyze the rural consumption in our country, to analyze rural consumption demand in the regions of ethnic minorities.
