Study On Globalization Process And Evolution Of Chinese Manufacturing Sector Space Structure

With the rapid advance of the tide of economic globalization in recent years, economic activities present a new layout appearance in space. Production factors present a new concentration phenomenon in space (the agglomerated trend of economic activities) while economic decentralized phenomenon occurs. We can say that the decentralized and agglomerated trend on the background of economic globalization presents the two extreme ends of economic development and has great impacts on the development of each nation and its inner regions.Under the economic globalization, the economic development of every area is threatened by other areas in the world. To promote the agglomeration of industry is very useful for our nation to set up more efficient industry arrangement. As one of the countries that attract most foreign investment, it is of great significance to analyze the evolvement of space structure in China's manufacturing industry.This paper firstly describes the main purpose and method of the study and reviews current situation of domestic and foreign research. Then, based on the theory of industrial cluster, it summerizes the analysis of regional economic space structure and describes the general principle of foreign direct investment(FDI) as well. Furthermore, it analyzes the development situation that China makes use of FDI in the evolutional course of manufacturing space structure. Then it points out the impacts of FDI on manufacturing industrial cluster in China. Finally, some relevant countermeasures are put forward to optimize China's manufacturing space structure.
