The Dialectics Between Fairness And Efficiency In The Field Of Game Theory

Discussions about the relationship between the fairness and the efficiency began from 70's in 20th century in western academic circle. With the appearance and escalating of some new social conflicts in distributive field since the middle of 1980s, whether is fair or not income allotment gradually becomes a social focus. So, the relationship between the fairness and the efficiency is discussed warmly by the publics, especially scholars in economics and sociological field.The Game Theory has already applied broadly in natural science and social science like economics, management, and the politics since it was published at 50's in 20th century. The Game Theory changed not only the mode of thinking of natural scientists but also the mode of thinking of social scientists.In previous discussions about relationship between fairness and efficiency, all scholars don't analyze the problem in the view of the Game Theory, included some scholars who sponsored fairness was prior to efficiency, some scholars who supported efficiency was prior to fairness, and some scholars suggested that we should give the same treatment to fairness and efficiency. Game Theory is a new way to discuss the problem of fairness and efficiency. And Game Tree offers a clear and obvious way to master the relationship between fairness and efficiency. Analyzing the question on fairness and efficiency from the perspective of "Prisoners' Dilemma" in game theory is to find reasons of conflicts and methods how to solve them. Many scholars take system as the key to realize game balance. We find "priority given to efficiency and due consideration to fairness" is the key of game balance in our country.There is certain theoretical basis at home and abroad in researching philosophy problems by game analysis. The researcher Zhao Tingyang who works at Chinese college of social science philosophy graduate school thinks that the method can promote introspect of courses.In contemporary, we are solving the problem between Fairness and Efficiency by Interest Game. The basis of harmonious society is Interest Balance, the key of Interest Balance is Interest Coordination Mechanism, and the basis of Balance Mechanism is expressing game. In fact, the game of Fairness and Efficiency is Interest Game. It is necessary to research the Interest Divide and solve the antinomy of Interest Expression.
