Urbanization And Construction Of Socialist Harmonious Society

Urbanization is the certain product of modernization. For Chinese special conditions, modernization produces not only urbanization but also urbanization of rural places. As to urbanization of rural places, Fei Xiaotong who is a famous sociologist had concluded some models through surveys and observation. However, at the same time, we also observed that there were a lot of problems emerged during this process, how to avoid them, how to construct a harmonious society, Changping village had answered these questions vividly.This thesis takes Changping village of Huguan city in Shanxi Province as a case, through carding the process of this village's industrialization, analyzing how to make resources, environment, spirituality, political civilization and around society develop harmoniously with industry, discussing the relationship between urbanization of rural places and harmonious society, and make a conclusion that developing rural places depends on the governance by elite, democratic system and proper intervention by grass-roots government together. At the same time, we also notice that the problems Changping has to face in order to make further development, some of them can be solved by the village itself, some of them related to the country's public policies, these become the opportunities and challenges to Changping village.This thesis is composed of three parts. Part one mainly introduces the conceptions and theories of rural places' urbanization, states the relationship between rural places' urbanization and harmonious society. In this part, we get that urbanization and urbanization of rural places are different conceptions, they are different areas, and rural places urbanization is more meaningful to China. Part two which is the main part of this thesis, recalling the industrialization and construction harmonious society process of Changping village. Part three is the key part of this thesis, in this part we get the conclusion of Changping Model and solutions of "Agriculture, Rural places and Peasants", which is governance by elites, democratic management and proper intervention by grass-roots government.
