Study On Urbanization Construction Of Medium And Small Cities From The Perspective Of Harmonious Society

The CPC’s Third Plenary Session of the Sixteenth CentralCommittee had made important decision over several major issues ofconstructing a harmonious society. The Decision pointed out that oursociety has entered a critical period of reform and development, thus wehave to scientifically analyze the contradictions and problems thatinfluence social harmony and the causes of these contradictions andproblems, more positively face contradiction, conciliate contradiction, soas to increase the harmony factors and decrease disharmonious factors tothe greatest extent, continually promoting social harmony.Chinese society is being in the transition period, socialtransformation has major changes in all aspects of China. Both originaland emerging contradictions have raised severe challenges forconstructing harmonious society. As a typical agricultural society, thefundamental mission of social transformation is to fulfill the ruralurbanization and the construction of new rural communities, ultimatelyachieving the social transformation from a traditional agricultural societyto a modern society with industrial cities and towns, realizing aharmonious pattern of integrated and coordinated development to urbanand rural.This article begins with the city Xiantao’s urbanization from theperspective of harmonious society as the breakthrough of study, in thefirst place it clarifies the meaning and value of harmonious society and itsguidance worth to the urbanization of Xiantao, and then analyzes thedevelopment process and current situation, the main existing problemsand their causes of Xiantao’s urbanization, finally it proposes a road mapfor Xiantao’s urbanization under the guidance of harmonious society: on the one hand formulating management systems in the light of harmonioussociety theories, and with these management systems to guide theplanning of urban and rural construction, to coordinate the developmentof urban and rural; on the other hand solving concrete issues by using themethods of harmonious society.This article is divided into six parts. The first part, the introduction;The second part, connotation of harmonious society and urbanization, thispart highlights promoting effect of urbanization to harmonious societyand the directive function in turn; The third part, development processand current situation, existing problems of Xiantao’s urbanization, andanalyzing the causes of these problems; The forth part, countermeasuresof Xiantao’s urbanization with the guide of harmonious society, this partproposes concrete measures to promote Xiantao’s urbanization; The fifthpart, trends and orientation selecting of minor cities’ urbanization, givingsome suggestions for the minor cities’ urbanization from the perspectiveof harmonious society; The final part, the conclusion.
