Structuring And Implementation Of A Corporation's KPI System For Logistics Control

How to make full use of the logistics resources of an enterprise to enhance the Internal Logistics control and improve the efficiency of Internal Logistics management, are the questions that multitudinous enterprises need to face. However, the domain of the Internal Logistics is widespread, and its modes of operations are diversiform. If there is not a perfect control system, any enterprises will be unable to obtain a good performance of logistics work, contrarily, we would be able to gain double achievement by logistics operations.The Key Performance Indicators (hereinafter referred to as the KPI) for Internal Logistics control takes as research object in this dissertation. Based on the KPI theory widely applied in field of performance management currently, it analyzes all functions related to logistics activities in A Corporation, and focuses on the research on special logistics functions. Then it summarizes the keypoints for logistics control and makes the quantitative analysis for them. Simultaneously, it gives its attentions to the whole and the relations among them. From the angles of logistics cost and service, the dissertation analyzes all functions and factors appearing in logistics system, and constructures the KPI system for A Corporation's logistics control. By structuring and implementing, this paper validates the function of the KPI systems for logistics control, which reduce the logistics, cost and improve the logistics service. Thereby it can provide some helps for more enterprises to control their respective logistics, and save social resources and creat more values.This paper is composed of three parts. The first part is the article background and the correlative theories and methods. The second part is the main body of this article. It analyzes A Corporation's logistics workflows to summarize the key control points in the third chapter, and constructures the KPI system for logistics control in the fourth chapter from the point of viwe of logistics cost and service. The third part narrates the implementing of A Corporation Logitics Controls KPI System and evaluates its effect.It implementes the KPI system for logistics control in A Corporation to inspect and evaluate the KPI system for Logistics control which it mainly adoptes the workflow analysis and logistics cost analysis, and still applies systematic analysis along with the functional researches.
