The Research Of Chinese Automotive Industry's Technology Innovation

Automotive Industry is the pillar industry of China, leading on upstream and downstream industries. With large economic scales, it plays an important role in national economy. In recent years although China automotive industry grows rapidly, its lack of stamina is still a problem. The main reason is that our production does not have core technology and self development ability. It is extremely necessary and significant to deeply research China Automotive Industry innovation, effectively integrate all kinds of resources, bring human, material, financial resource and outside resource into play, and to cultivate our own intellectual property rights of core technology for China Automotive Industry healthy growth. This paper is researching on China Automotive Industry Innovation through five aspects.The first section is on technology innovation theories. Firstly, it details American Austria economist Joseph Schumpeter's technology innovation theory in Economic Development Theory and theories of New Classical School, the new Schumpeter school, the school system innovation school and national innovation system. Secondly, it introduces three technology innovation models: original innovation, integrated innovation and introduced innovation. Finally, in light of China actual situation, it expounds developing country advantage theory of M·Levy,Gerashchenko,Luo Rong qu and other economists.The second section briefs develop history and present situation of China Automotive Industry technology innovation. From 1950s to 1980s, China Automotive Industry develops slowly, because of the western economy and technology blockage, too much emphasis on self reliance, and the lack of personnel and funds. Whereas in this period, China Heavy Truck made a great breakthrough, take the Liberation for example. After 1990s, as the family auto market continually expand, China Automotive Industry shifted its focus on car. With the Reform and Opening up, China Automotive Industry has opened the country to seek cooperation opportunities. By joint venture strategy, exchanging market and technology, China Automotive Industry developed rapidly, introduced a large number of international technique and management experience and reduced the technical gap between developed countries. At the same time, in recent years private auto enterprises have gradually emerged and made some achievements in technology innovation.The third section details the existing problems in China Automotive Industry technology innovation. From the internal view of automotive industry, firstly, industry organization is unreasonable. Hundreds of large and small enterprises consume largely and waste limited auto resources, which cause China auto enterprises, do not have strong strength to take technology innovation. Secondly, introduction innovation strategy failed. Auto enterprises simply imitate foreign technology instead of re-digest re-absorption and re-innovation. Thirdly, R&D capital investment is insufficient. Compared with developed countries R&D capital investment, there is a considerable gap, which blocks auto core competitiveness enhancement. From the outer environment view of automotive industry, firstly, national policy does not give enough support. The strategy direction and general development goal can not substitute specific operation or methods. Secondly, production does not integrate with develop ability and research cooperatively. In the process of innovation enterprises role and responsibility of government, universities and technology research academy institution do not define specifically. Thirdly, we lack of personnel, especially high technology personnel. Unreasonable organization and low making staffs limit auto technology innovation. Fourthly, on the upstream and downstream industry insufficient support, China Automotive Industry technology level is relatively backward. Poor innovation capability is unable to provide a strong technology innovation supportThe fourth section takes USA and Japan automotive industry technology innovation experience for reference. It introduces preferential duties policy of USA for technology innovation, state-funded R&D large scale projects experience and innovation history of USA three giants in automotive industry. Firstly, it establishes three steps develop strategy, which put forward China's automobile industry need to undergo technological innovation, mainly on introduction of innovation, introducing innovative and independent innovation, pluralistic self-invention. We also need to take action step by step and choose priority. Secondly, preferential duties policy can encourage enterprises take innovation and become stronger. Thirdly, marketing guide accelerate China Automotive Industry technology innovation, which consists of enterprises, high academy, technology research institution, government and other agents. Fourthly, personnel recruitment and cultivation mechanism need to improve, while professional education and training need to reinforce.
