The rapid growth and development of the global economy, transport and communications, coupled with the ubiquitous Internet provided support for IT manufacturers to infiltrate into the global market, a growing number of IT manufacturers continue to break through cultural barriers into the global market, no matter in which country consumers are surrounded by large number of brands, unprecedented fierce competition has taken place.Various IT manufacturing enterprises have taken part in all-round competition in the design of the development, production, channels, marketing, personnel, services, finance, and other aspects. In such circumstances, business management must be more in-depth and detailed. In response to this competition and expand market share and get profits, enterprises have to re-examine their original mode of marketing, channel management and performance system and all other system which business interests are closely linked with, and pay attention to the changes of target market. Enterprises have to understand and assess their own advantages and disadvantage correctly, and try to explore new plan and model which enhance their own value combine with their own characteristics.Because the marketing mode of Dell is unique and the performance appraisal of marketing department is important, the paper focuses on both of them on the basis of the relevant marking and human resource management knowledge.On the one hand, the paper was used the principle of 4P analyze the characteristics of Dell's marketing mode to point out the advantages and disadvantages, and conceives the proposal for improvement in terms of product, price, place and promotion; on the anther hand, the author also has put forward some suggestions on the basis of analyzing marketing department's performance appraisal according to author's experiences and the appraisal's current situation.
