A Study Of FDI's Impact To Chongqing Economy Development

Chongqing has been actively in strategy of opening, enlarge absorption and guidance of foreign investment to make the direct investment flowed much fast. The poured investment has promoted the economy of Chongqing into continuous, rapid and stable development. The inflow of FDI(Foreign Direct Investment) plays an important role in economy development of Chongqing with the continued rise scale of FDI.The article introduces theory of foreign investment and economy development, summarizes the situation of use of FDI in Chongqing; sets a total factor contribution (TFC) in which is involved by foreign investment, analyzes the contribution of FDI in Chongqing economy development from the qualitative and quantitative, evaluates the impact of FDI in Chongqing's economy, analyzes the problem of FDI in Chongqing, brings related measurements based on the experience of FDI in Putong New Development Zone and Binhai New Development, to promote Chongqing's economy development.Having evaluated the role of FDI in Chongqing's economy development, analyzes the situation of use of FDI by scale, structure, sector, region and investment ways. The article demonstrates the positive impact of FDI from GDP, sector structure, technique development and employment. Meanwhile, the total scale of FDI in Chongqing is small,the contribution of FDI in economy development is lower than in the southeastern coastal cities, even lower than the national average. The strategy of 'one circle, two wings', suggests the important role in Chongqing's economy development played by FDI, with its implementing and establishment of reform experimental zone in urban and rural areas.
