The catalog advertisement has already become the most popular advertisement form besides the broadcast, the television, the newspaper and the network. But because of the catalog advertisement itself still exists many questions, continuously the consumers will have held the suspicion manner to its present's existence and the development. Such as catalog advertisement type segmentation, page layout design, market survey analysis, even includes the catalog advertisement in delivery. We should give catalog advertisement design more attention and the problems are urgently waits to be solved. This article has profited from the school of advertising, the consumption psychology and so on correlation theories quite detailed elaboration catalog advertisement classification, the design, the market survey as well as the concrete delivery analysis and so on the catalog advertisement design the noticeable several aspects.The full thesis is divided into five chapters besides the introduction and the conclusion. The third and fourth chapter are the key part which is this article elaborates. The first chapter is the catalog advertisement outline, mainly has analyzed the catalog advertisement history, the type, the function and the significance. The second chapter is the catalog advertisement with other advertisement comparative analysis and own characteristic analysis. First is on the catalog advertisement and the broadcast, the television, the newspaper, the network advertisement media and other plane advertisement media carries on the comparative analysis in the function and the propagation mode, then obtains catalog advertisement own characteristic according to comparative analysis's conclusion, and has given a more detailed elaboration. The third chapter is the catalog advertisement design idea and the element project analysis, actually first elaborated the creativity method and the creativity type, then to the catalog advertisement in several very important design elements, like the page layout, the color, the writing, the picture and so on has carried on the detailed elaboration and the analysis. The fourth chapter is the catalog advertisement market analysis, mainly to the catalog advertisement's market survey, the market localization, as well as the catalog advertisement's delivery makes a more detailed elaboration. The fifth chapter is the catalog advertisement trend of development analysis, mainly about the questions which exists to the present catalog advertisement in carries on the analysis, and gives some author own viewpoints.Through to the above exploring research, this thesis is hoped that it can enrich its theory organism and provide a new creation mentality for the new catalog advertisement's design.
