Since the enforcement of reform and opening-up policy, the income of China's urban and rural residents has increased significantly. However, because of the long-term existence of the dual urban-rural economic structure and other reasons, the income gap between urban and rural residents has been continuously expanding, which has attracted much attention from society.Domestic and foreign scholars conducted a lot of research on China's income gap between urban and rural residents. It is very less to select some new development cities and 53 high-tech zones of China as subject. As a new city, and the only national agricultural high-tech Industries Demonstration Zone in China, so, this thesis select Yangling as the subject to study.This thesis includes 5 chapters.The first chapter is introduction. It includes introduction of purpose and meaning of topic-choosing, and literature review of income gap of urban-rural residents, and finally the research methodology of this thesis, and some possible innovations.The second chapter is some conceptions of income distribution of urban and rural residents. It explains some conceptions of income distribution of urban and rural residents, and some indexes which are used to measure the income gap between urban and rural residents. At last, according to the conditions of Yangling, the author designs some indexes which will be used to investigate on the residential income and Select absolute income gap, the relative income gap and the difference coefficient as measurement to measure the income gap between urban and rural residents of Yangling Demonstration Zone.The third chapter is an analysis of the changing trend of income of urban and rural residents of Yangling Demonstration Zone. Through qualitative and quantitative analysis, the thesis analyses the changing trend of per capita net income of farmers in Yangling from the establishment of the Yangling Demonstration Zone, and the changing trend of income gap between urban and rural residents in Yangling, and at last compare them with their counterparts in Shaanxi Province and China in the same period, Found that since 2002 the absolute income gap, the relative income gap and the difference coefficient of Yangling are lower than the same period in Shaanxi and China.The fourth chapter is the hypothetical models of narrowing the income gap between urban and rural residents in Yangling Demonstration Zone. Based on the income of different growth speed and growth ways, the thesis establishes three models to narrow the income gap between urban and rural residents in Yangling Demonstration Zone, and analyzes the feasibility of the three hypothetical models, and eventually establish a viable model prediction to research.The fifth chapter is some countermeasures and suggestions for increasing income of farmers in Yangling Demonstration Zone. According to the analysis in Chapter 4, the thesis chooses a feasible model to reduce the income gap between urban and rural residents in Yangling Demonstration Zone, and supplies some countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of Yangling Demonstration Zone agricultural industries and non-agricultural industries, which helps to narrow the income gap between urban and rural residents of Yangling.Through this thesis, it supplies some good advice for the income gap research of new development cities or other high-tech zones.
