The arable land is the essential substance for human beings'living and development. With the development of human beings, the land which can be cultivated becomes smaller and smaller. The quality of the land is also worse than before. Due to this, it is necessary and urgent to seek out the way of solution. The thesis mainly discusses the problems. The research which is based on the former analysis deeply discusses the factors on the resource security of the arable land. We will set up a set of practical evaluation system to test the security of cultivated land. We choose the city of Bijie where its ecological environment is comparatively fragile to do the empirical study to warn us and make the development of regional economics sustainable. The thesis attempts to construct a set of evaluation system which is fit for the research object from the following three aspects of cultivated land: quantity security, quality security and economic society security. We give a reasonable evaluation to the resource security of the arable land in Bijie with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). In the process of evaluation, we discuss the realization of quantity in each index and finally find out the conclusions of the resource security of the arable land in Bijie. The results are presented as follows. At present, the arable resource land in Bijie is basically in the state of security. Its service quality is good and its ecosystem is stable. The problem of the economy and society security of the land is little. But the score is at the edge of index and is easy to reach the initial stage of security without attention. Hence it needs us to have actions to protect and enhance the present situation.
