The Evaluation On International Competitive Capacity Of Wood-Based Panels Industry In China

With the development of trade liberalization, according to a specific industry, its comprehensive strength rests on its international competitive capacity, which decides the probability of keeping and expanding profit margins of this industry. This thesis is centrally on studying international competitive capacity of wood-based panels industry in China from different aspects and angles, through apparent and connotative analysis, quantitative and qualitative analysis, comparative analysis. On the base of introducing its present situation, discussing the international competitive capacity of China's wood-based panels industry from apparent and connotative levels is the key clue of the article. At last, the author maps out some comprehensive strategies towards improving the international competitive power of China's wood-based panels industry, which are potentially useful for its development and adjustment to the structure of this industry.This paper consists of three parts:The first part is the basis of this paper,in which the author introduced some theories about international competitive capacity of industry and the current development of China's wood-based panels industry.The second part is the core of this paper.Firstly,on apparent layer, the author analyzed and appraised the international competitive power of China's wood-based panels industry from aspects of maket share,occupying proportion of export,trade surplus,pointing to three conclusion: advantages of the international competitive power of China's wood-based panels industry incline to gradually strengthen, the international competitive power of branch industries is unequal, the advantages are gained by the increasing quantity of production and export; Secondly, on connotative layer, on the basis of the above analysis, the author analyzed the factors affecting the international competitive power of China's wood-bases panels industry, pointing to one conclusion: some factors, which may promote market performance and competitive capacity upgrade, are cost and price of products, demand scale and so on; Some factors, which impede and restrict, are raw-materials supply, technical level, production scale, environment protection,industrial policies and so forth..In the last part, on the basis of the above analysis and research, the author formulated some strategies on actively and viably cultivating and improving the international competitive capacity of China's wood-based panels industry, through consolidating advantages and turning disadvantages around.
