Study And Practice: Theory And Method Of Ecotourism Planning

The United Nations stipulated 2002 as the "International Year of Ecotourism". In May the same year, the World Ecotourism Conference convened in Quebec ,Canada ,and announced the《Quebec Declaration on Ecotourism》aim to promote the development of ecotourism actively. This symbolized that ecotourism has entered a new stage of comprehensive development.Compared to other countries, the initial step of ecotourism in China is late, so its theory and practice research is still relatively backward. The lack of rationalp planning has led to environmental pollution and ecological damage. Therefore, it is significant to emphasize the research of ecotourism and its premise, the ecotourism planning for our country which has huge development potential of ecotourism.According to above, this thesis made a study on theory and method of ecotourism and ecotourism planning, based on the research findings of specialists and scholars at home and abroad, investigate some debatable or incomplete contents and proposed own opinions about them. Illustrated by Changzhi city, this thesis evaluated its development of ecotourism, and gave some constructive principle and approach of planning according to the results of analysis.The author Wished to further consummate the theory system of ecotourism and ecotourism planning, and to be realistic directive significance to the ecotourism exploitation of Changzhi city, and to set a paradigm for other cities.This thesis consists of six parts. In exordium, the author discussed the importance and significance of ecotourism exploitation and proposed the structure and writing method. In the part of basic theory research, author systematically appraised the current situation of the theories on the home and abroad ecotourism, concluded and reviewed the concepts of ecotourism, proposed own opinions about some focal points, such as the connotation and criterion of ecotourism and the scope of ecotourism resource. In the part of planning system research, author summarized the theoretical foundation and method, based on it, the author mainly discussed the content and management system of ecotourism planning, established the content system from the system theory and proposed the levels method of ecotourism planning different from the "development and construction method", discoursed two kinds of management organization which to ensure the implementation of the ecotourism planning. In the whole process of research, the system theory and dialectical materialism existed from beginning to end. In the part of four, aim at the issues in the development of ecotourism in China, author gave some feasible suggestion and looked to the future of the ecotourism in China. In the part of applied research, illustrated by the Changzhi city, the author analyzed its actuality in the development of tourist industry and the characteristic of landscape pattern, based on it, evaluated the main ecotourism resources and then investigated the principle and approach of planning. In the part of conclusion, simply summarized the creative fruits by the research and quest and its significance in the field of ecotourism planning.
