Smart Card with its own unique advantages is widely used in the decades after the birth around the world, there are about a few one billion smart cards which are used in the finance, telecommunications, transportation, medical care, education, entertainment, business management, personal security identification, security and other fields, and now it is increasing fast every year. As the basic of the added-value services which are offered by telecommunication operator,smart card has become increasing prominently.With micro-electronics development, IC si getting higher and higher. Memorizers with large capacity and small size come forth constantly and upgrade, and it is possible to achieve the large capacity SIM card. At the same time, with the increasingof value-added business and the user's need , the current SIM card products can not meet the increasing demand, which makes large capacity SIM cards become an inevitable trend.SIM card with large-capacity has many advantages such as high-performance computing, high storage capacity, rapid exchange of data, and so on, therefore, how to use the advantages of large-capacity SIM card of these advantages to design and realize the high-performance which is convenit for new value-added business development has become the focus of the SIM card manufacturers.In this article, the author describes the new value-added business design and implementation based on the large-capacity SIM card. Through the study of the large-capacity performance of SIM card and the SIM card criterion, the author design an unique file format which is used only in large-capacity SIM card, and based on this design has realized a number of new added-value applications. These applications support both GSM11.11, GSM11.14, as well as China Mobile OTA criterion, and Phoenix Microelectronics (China) Co., Ltd. large-capacity SIM card design specifications.
