With the coming of the "service economy" era, service economy dominating in the industries structure becomes the main characters of the urban economic and social development. It is necessary for a modern urban to recur service industry, especially for producer services industry, to make economic growth and achieve its basic function, and also to realize its controlling force. As an industry for controlling the regional economics, the development of producer services has been the core of the industry competitions of numerous metropolises, and its spatial distribution also tends to the metropolis.Shanghai, as the center of economic development in China, has achieved breakthrough development of producer services in recently years, which has become an important mainstay to promoting the continually increase of services industry, and also has been a new growth pole of the urban economy. At the mean time, the producer services also appear a certain character of spatial distribution in internal city. This paper focuses on the forming and developing of space structure of producer services industry in Shanghai, and uses both empirical and quantitative analysis methods to analyze the spatial structure. Structurally, it contains three main parts. The first part summarized the introduction of abroad and domestic researches on producer services and also introduced some theories on the service location. Simultaneously, on the basis of analyzing the characters of producer services, it concluded the main factors of influencing its spatial selection, and then gave its location model of the spatial distribution. This part is the theoretical principle. The second part firstly analyzed the current performance and the development mechanism of producer services in Shanghai in recently years. Also it compared the development level of producer services in Shanghai with which in the metropolis. And then it emphatically analyzed the basic spatial distribution of producer services in Shanghai: the producer services presented the situation of holistic agglomeration and local disperse. It mostly centralized on the centre of the city, with a part of the producer services dispersing to suburb; Agglomeration has been the major spatial distribution pattern of the producer services in Shanghai, and also there were a large number of producer services clusters with different functional type in the city; Besides, producer services in Shanghai also has shown a certain trend of more balanced development in its spatial distribution in recently years, also its spatial dimensions are larger than before. The third part mainly analyzes the dynamic mechanisms of spatial distribution of Shanghai's producer services, which was influenced by three factors. It also arrives at a conclusion that the evolvement of urban functional spatial, differences of the basis of economic and social development among each area country and the planning about producer services formed by the government being the major facets. The innovation of this paper mainly lies to the study of the producer services, which is an emerging industry, from the cultural perspective of spatial distribution of industries in geography. It systemically analyzed the basic spatial distribution of producer services in Shanghai with using multiple parameters. And at last, this paper gets the spatial structures of Shanghai's producer services and its dynamic mechanisms of spatial distribution patterns.
